Feb 2017 update

  • Work Programme 3 is pleased to welcome Andrew Harding in December 2016 as the lead study Research Associate based at Lancaster University.
  • Dr Hazel Morbey and Dr Carol Opdebeeck presented at the British Society of Gerontology Annual Conference in Stirling on 5-8 July 2016 “What is important to people with dementia?”
  • Dr Siobhan Reilly and Dr Hazel Morbey presented at the annual meeting of the COMET Initiative: COMET VI held in Amsterdam on 10-11 November 2016 entitled “Constructing the long list of outcomes: what can we learn methodologically?”
  • In April and May 2017 Work Programme 3 researchers are collaborating with local groups in order to involve people living with dementia and their care partners in the study. We especially acknowledge the support of  Garstang Memory Café, Parbold Dementia Café and Halton Memory Café for their feedback and input to the Delphi survey design and study materials.

Dementia Training Hospital Survey launched

DEMTRAIN Survey launched on 17th January, 2017. The survey has endorsement from Professors Alistair Burns, Old Age Psychiatry and Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist, Manchester Mental Health and Social Care Trust, Martin Vernon, National Clinica Director for Older People and Integrated Care at NHS England, Dementia Action Alliance, and the Royal College of Nursing.
